Safety Standards for Commercial Swing Sets: Does the playset meet or exceed relevant safety standards such as those set by the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM)? At Adventure World Playsets, all of our commercial sets are ASTM certified and with one of our commercial swing sets and mulch package, we offer free on-site inspections from one of our in-house certified CPSI inspectors. AWP will give you a letter stating that your commercial playground and surface meet all the requirements and it will satisfy all government agencies and insurance companies.
Age Appropriateness: Depending where the playset will be located, business, community area, public park, etc., make sure that its design and individual components are suitable for the intended age range of users (e.g. 2 to 5 years, 5 to 12 years). Surfacing: Plan for appropriate safety surfacing under and around the playset. Here at AWP we offer Commercial Line packages that include rubber mulch which is considered better than wood fiber and pea gravel for a number of reasons, like it doesn’t decompose and therefore, it’s not necessary to replenish it annually; also, it provides excellent shock absorption and being non-porous, it does not retain water.
